What FloatSolar Is
FloatSolar is a United States-based manufacturer of floating solar racking. We produce six Gen3 structure kits that support solar modules from 560W to 710W, sized for residential, commercial and small-utility arrays on calm water bodies.
We sell wholesale through a channel-only model. Our customers are distributors, online retailers, EPCs, solar installers, and marine, dock and pond dealers. We do not install systems, we do not bid end-customer projects, and we never quote a reseller's customer directly.
The kits are designed for retention ponds, detention basins, process ponds, irrigation reservoirs, quarry lakes and wastewater lagoons. We ship and support projects across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

The Post-Sackett Jurisdictional Reality
Traditional floating solar installations can require extensive environmental permits, wetland studies, and regulatory approvals that take 18-24 months. Since Sackett v. EPA (2023) narrowed the definition of "waters of the United States," many privately owned, isolated retention ponds, process ponds and irrigation ponds fall outside federal wetlands jurisdiction and outside Rivers and Harbors Act navigability rules. When that's true for your site, the federal wetlands and navigability permits simply don't apply. Because this depends on the specific water body — and the applicable rule still varies by state — we run a free jurisdictional pre-screen and give you the answer in writing.
